To celebrate 30 years of the Brewhouse, commissioned artist Eddie Howard to create a new piece of work to celebrate the people who've helped make the Brewhouse what it is today. The new work will be launched in September and will celebrate the venue, its people and history, and the many cultural activities and events that have taken place at the venue during the last 30 years.
Artist Eddie Howard says, “When we think about Arts venues like The Brewhouse, it is most often the bricks and mortar that come to mind. I feel so honoured to redirect this focus, and define and celebrate The Brewhouse using the faces of the amazing family that have brought Burton this treasure.”
We now need your help to bring this commission to life!
The commission will feature a wide range of mini portraits, coming together into one large piece of work, which will be displayed at the Brewhouse. If you want your portrait to be taken by Eddie to form part of the commission we are offering you the opportunity to come and meet the artist at the Brewhouse on Thursday 1st July 2021 between 11-5pm.
